Irene I. Barron, Chief Operating Officer & Product Management Officer of nTelagent, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in healthcare financial management.
With over 20 years in the healthcare field, Ms. Barron is considered an expert in healthcare revenue cycle and team management. In 2007 she joined nTelagent, a healthcare upfront collections technology company that specializes in upfront collections processes through a retail healthcare application for the healthcare industry. She brings to the company diverse experience in the field, including office operations, revenue cycle management, and an in-depth knowledge of registration, insurance billing, collections and reimbursement, as well as overall monitoring and reporting of accounts receivable. Ms. Barron is also knowledgeable in establishing processes for discounting, eligibility for local, state and federal programs, and charity care.
Ms. Barron began her career in a 200-bed acute care hospital as an insurance biller and was quickly promoted to Director of Patient Accounts. Now with nTelagent, she considers assisting healthcare facilities remain financially viable by improving upfront processes to be the most vital aspect of her work. She attributes her success to her diligence and to the support she receives from her family and her colleagues.
Ms. Barron earned her Associate Degree in Supervisory Management Technology in 1986 from Wallace Community College. She is an active member of Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and is invited routinely to be a speaker in HFMA, as well as other healthcare organizations.
